Tim Gleason is a litigator and partner at Dewart Gleason LLP.

His expertise is eclectic. He has appeared in the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as in all levels of court in Ontario, on a wide range of civil, constitutional and labour matters.

He has an active practice defending solicitor’s negligence claims, and he also acts for plaintiffs in a number of areas, including defamation and police and crown misconduct. In addition, Tim represents trade unions in picketing injunctions, insolvency matters, and judicial review applications. In his labour practice, Tim deals with all aspects of labour litigation for trade unions.

Tim is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he teaches advanced labour law. He is a past chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Labour Relations Section and a former contributing editor of the text Ontario Labour Relations Board Law and Practice, 3rd ed. He frequently participates in conferences and seminars as a speaker and educator for trade unions and CLE providers.

Tim is founder and captain of the DGLLP hockey team. He plays centre, shoots left, has a respectable wrist-shot and almost no penalty minutes. His favourite colour is orange and his favourite drink is calvados.
