Pierre Lermusieaux

Pierre was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015 and obtained his Common Law and Civil Law degrees at the McGill University Faculty of Law.

Pierre is passionate about employment law, human rights, and civil litigation. He has acted for employees and employers on a wide range of issues including actions for wrongful dismissal, disability accommodation in the workplace, breach of confidence, and breach of fiduciary duty. Another focus of his civil litigation practice is advising and acting for lawyers facing claims. Pierre also represents trade unions in grievance arbitrations and matters relating to collective bargaining.

Prior to joining Dewart Gleason, Pierre worked at a boutique labour and employment firm in Ottawa, served as law clerk to the Honourable Justice Mary Gleason of the Federal Court of Appeal, and articled at a boutique litigation firm specializing in language rights and constitutional law.

Outside of work, he enjoys travel, particularly through Latin America, music production and sound engineering, French literature, and cooking on his days off.

Pierre represents clients in both official languages, but is also proficient in Spanish and comfortable in Portuguese.
